ACA Dog Show and Educational Seminar February 13th, 2016
The “Pet Industry” is now seeing major changes and shifting as new laws and regulations are being passed throughout the United States. There are two directional trends in these legislative initiatives. The first trend are laws placing severe “sourcing restrictions” on who and where Pet Stores are permitted to acquire their puppies and kittens from. The second mandates USDA licensing and inspection for breeders and businesses using the Internet to sell their pets.
Because many cities have already placed limits on the amount of pets a household may have, consumers are finding it more and more difficult to acquire locally bred puppies. The public is now turning to the Internet. Breeders are seeing their Internet sales of puppies growing at an unprecedented rate and puppy prices are going up as well. Breeders have found 2015 their most profitable year and 2016 is already trending to be even better!
Because the consumers want to buy their puppy from a “good” breeder, they are now Goggling and researching the breeder’s your name on the Internet. Do you have any negative postings on the Internet? Have the Animal Activists targeted you or someone with a name similar to you with negative and “puppy mill” postings?

The Minnesota Pet Breeders Association (MnPBA) and the American Canine Association (ACA) are holding the event for you. An entry form for the show is enclosed. Participating in the show is not required to attend the event. However, to meet your dog show qualification for the 5 Star Breeder Award (participating in 2 or more Dog Show annually), please bring 2 of your dogs to the show. Dogs must be 6 months or older.
