It is our objective to offer members a forum to exchange information and address current issues related to the bail industry in the State of Minnesota. Through lobbying as an association, we will present the collective concerns of bail bond agents as a single voice to our State Legislature. Although it may be easy for our elected officials to disregard the needs and concerns of one individual, it becomes more difficult for them to disregard the needs and concerns of a large organization representing the entire bail industry in the state.
MNPBA's political action committee will support the campaigns and offices of candidates and incumbents who are aware of the valuable function the bail industry serves in the states criminal justice system. MPBA will open doors to educate legislators and their staff about the issues and challenges we all face in our business, including the threat of pre-trial release.
The structure of our association has been with guidance and full support of PBUS. As many know within our industry, they will be very instrumental in helping us achieve our goals as an association. As a state, we shall be dividing into regions and will be seeking Regional Directors, to oversee their particular region, as well as committee members to assist.
We ask for your involvement as individual agents or agencies to help preserve our industry within the State of Minnesota. If we stand together as an industry our goals can be accomplished. The more members we have, our voices as an industry will be heard much louder and more effective.
We hope you consider membership as your voice and concerns are of utmost priority to keep our association. As agencies we ask that you suggest to all of your agents to consider MNPBA membership. Also feel free to contact any representative on the Board of Directors with suggestions, requests or concerns.
